The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio Building a Vision for the Future Capital Campaign
Recognized throughout Northwest Ohio as a catalyst for positive change in the industry, The Sight Center Board of Trustees has outlined a continued commitment to a future of high-quality care and service for people who are blind and visually impaired. The “Building a Vision for the Future” Capital Campaign will raise $1,650,000.00 to acquire land in central Toledo and build a facility that will accommodate leading edge vision rehabilitation services, programs and equipment. The new location, adjacent to the Area Office on Aging and the Medical College of Ohio, will provide easier, safer access, improved programs and services, and professional collaborations which will enhance the quality of services for all.
Campaign Update
Today, the Building a Vision for the Future Capital Campaign is within $90,000.00 of its $1,650.000.00 goal. Thanks to the widespread community support of this worthy campaign, plans for finalizing this project are underway.
Closing the gap during this last phase of the campaign has been in part thanks to the generous support of The Stranahan Foundation which distributed a $100,000 gift to the campaign as well as a generous $50,000 Challenge Grant. A Challenge Grant represents a matching gift opportunity through which every donation given to The Sight Center Capital Campaign is matched dollar for dollar up to the Challenge total.
